The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) has officially confirmed the briefs for its ministers following the changes announced by new prime minister Andy Burnham.
‘Digital’ was re-added to the department’s name after the closure of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). Some of responsibilities of DSIT have moved to DCMS led by digital, culture, media and sport secretary Lisa Nandy. They include digital skills, digital inclusion, online safety and digital identity.
Other former DSIT responsibilities are with the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade and the Cabinet Office.
The DCMS ministers are:

- Vicky Foxcroft, minister for youth, gambling, digital inclusion, civil society and loneliness
- Stephanie Peacock, minister for sport, tourism, place and digital government
- Baroness Ruth McKenzie, minister for arts and museums
- Baroness Twycross, minister for heritage
