Search engine firm Google has revealed the latest UK search trends with a focus on autumn. The insights could be useful for small businesses with relevant products and services.
Search interest for ‘autumn wedding’ hit an all time high this month, with ‘autumn wedding guest dresses long sleeve’ one of the top trending related searches and up 90% compared to the same period last year. The top searched related question is ‘what to wear autumn wedding’.
Another top trending autumn searches is ‘autumn wallpaper phone’, up 70% in the last seven days as of 23 September.
‘autumn night out outfit’ is the top trending ‘autumn outfit’ search (up 450%), followed by ‘autumn photoshoot outfit ideas’ (up 70%).
Google said that ‘nail art’ is another top trending topic, up 120%. The top related breakout queries are ‘cat eye nail designs’, ‘stiletto nail designs’ and ‘autumnal nails’.
‘relaxing autumn music’ and ‘autumn songs for kids’ are among the top breakout autumn searches.
Breakout searches are those with a search interest increase of more than 5,000%. In some cases it is because the queries are new and had few (if any) prior searches.
