How many employees do you have?
Our current staff total is eight, comprising two directors, three applications engineers, two design engineers and administrative support. We are currently looking for staff to fill new Business Development and Applications Engineer roles to support our continuing growth.
What do you look for when you are recruiting?
It is rare for us to be able to recruit technical staff who already possess the required skills in the 3D non-contact measurement applications that we employ. What we look for is engineers with the good communication skills, the correct underlying engineering skills sets and who display technical aptitude, are not afraid of hard work and have a willingness to learn.
What attributes are necessary in your business?
We need people who are willing to join a team and contribute their ideas and suggestions. They need aptitude, initiative and drive, together with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude in order to offer the very best service to our customers.
What makes you a good employer to work for?
We invest heavily in the technical training in the high-specification metrology systems we utilise, alongside other technical and general training offered to staff. Our engineers are highly supportive and motivated and they are always keen to come to work as we are involved in some great projects! Our staff enjoy the range and variety of projects they are able to undertake, which wouldn’t be the case in a larger organisation. It’s not all work, either – we have a thriving social diary such as BBQ’s, Go Karts and also take part in events for charity such as our latest Three Peaks Challenge. We support local schools and nationwide universities, offering work experience to interested students and presenting seminars at local colleges and universities, which all adds to the variety of work for our team.
