Expensive: The new free

We are in a world where things have gone from ‘cheap’ to ‘free’… to a logical step of us being paid (while a company pays for the adverts) to get us to try their stuff. All a bit upside down to me.

Service rage

At last the customer is fighting back. After ‘Road Rage’ there now comes ‘Service Rage’.

I witnessed it with my own eyes at a large chain hotel in Croydon. Customers are getting so cross (with the empty-eyed, vacuous staff who refuse to treat us like the PAYING CUSTOMER) that the customer starts screaming and shouting to try to reach the heart and the soul of the staff member… to get something basic sorted out like taking our money for what we actually bought (WHY do we have to queue so long for them to take our money?).
