How does My Social Agency advertise its services, and how do you use social media?
In-house we have our Commercial Manager, Tom, who directly handles incoming business leads, upsells services to existing clients, and generates new opportunities. Once he has a brief, we’ll get together as a team to brainstorm creative ideas and pull together our relevant technical know-how, which is then compiled into a proposal to meet their criteria. To generate new business we’ll also indirectly market ourselves through earned media marketing as opposed to paid: this includes a monthly e-newsletter to subscribers, blogging about our expertise, and positioning ourselves as industry experts by contributing to leading marketing and digital industry websites.
In terms of social media specifically, our strategy is to adhere to a content calendar that the marketing team compile. This is used to push out relevant news and views across LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. We’ll also use these platforms to promote our blog posts and expert offsite articles, where we achieve share-counts from online influencers into the 100’s.
