• Tell me about your role – what does a typical day look like for you?
It has gone through different phases, so when we first started I did market stalls and packed things in boxes. Currently I am focused on three things: our retail website and how it performs, integration of our accounting, web and warehouse systems and broadening our supply chain options. I am probably a typical entrepreneur in that I like to get us to the next stage by implementing changes, but I am not the person to put in charge of one thing permanently.
• Tell me about your clients – who purchases your products?
We have a wholesale side, so shops and a retail side via our website. We sell to John Lewis and various great stores but our end customer is typically an ethically minded woman in her 30s or 40s, sometimes a little older, buying for the grandchildren.
