How many employees do you have?
At the moment just me plus my production team. I am currently recruiting high-level management in order to take this brand global.
What do you look for when you are recruiting?
Someone who has experience in retail and preferably someone who has had experience in the handbag luxury market.
What attributes are necessary in your business?
The Jardine of London story is a good one, anyone who is involved in this business needs to ‘get it’ . They need to understand the brand and how we are different to everybody else. You need to be resilient and be able to take criticism, but above all stick to your beliefs and not get side-tracked too much.
What makes you a good employer to work for?
Once I trust you I will be loyal to you for ever and not go back on my word. I am a good at listening to advice from someone who has more experience than myself. I am not arrogant and am always open to other peoples ideas. I like working as a team and treat people the way I would like to be treated myself.
