How many employees do you have?
As of July 2015 Cloud Employee had 45 dedicated developers currently working for a range of UK, Australian and US SMEs and start-ups. It also has a back office and support staff of a further 32 employees.
Tell me about your role – what does a typical day look like for you?
In my role as CEO I manage the day-to-day business at our high-spec offices that operate in the same time zone as our respective clients and are fully Western-managed. I oversee all operations including recruitment, supervision, HR, payroll, equipment, software.

Cloud Employee was founded in London and has dedicated offices in the Philippines. Our clients come from all over the world.
Who are your biggest competitors? What makes your company special compared to its competitors?
Although there are other IT staffing providers in the Philippines, most will only service large blue-chip corporates wanting teams of 50-plus, making it very difficult for smaller companies or tech start-ups to gain access. Their only option to access the Philippinesis to use online freelance sites that can be very risky, giving clients limited control or guarantees. We provide complete infrastructure and on-site Western managers; it’s as if these smaller clients had set up their own offices in the Philippines.
