Rat catching group Rentokil Initial has recorded a 10.9% increase in first quarter revenues to £472million helped by a 6.4% rise in its pest control division. The group said it made 12 acquisitions over the period in emerging and growth markets.


Clothing chain N Brown has reported an annual profits dip of 2% to £84.5million on revenues up 3.5% to £866.2million. However, it pointed to a stronger second half performance with profits up 11% over the period. Online revenues were up 15% in the year with strong demand at its Freddie Flintoff backed Jacamo menswear range.


Comparison site Moneysupermarket.com Group recorded a 9% revenues climb to £83.7million in the first quarter. It said it was boosted by a 39% revenue rise in its home services division as more people looked to switch from their energy suppliers to find better deals. However, demand for insurance and travel dropped. Chief executive Peter Plumb hailed a record 1.7million families logging on over the period.
