Round Up - Apple, 32Red, Books

Tech giant Apple has invested $1billion in Chinese car-hailing app Didi Chuxing. Apple said it would help it better understand the Chinese market. Didi, which has a bigger market share in China than US rival Uber, provides over 11million rides a day.

Online gaming operator 32Red has signed a 3- year deal to sponsor Leeds United Football Club. It came as it said like-for-like net gaming revenues for the first 19 weeks of the year to May 11 rose 39%.

According to new figures from the Publishers Association Brits are ditching their Kindles and returning to the printed word. Book sales were up to £2.76billion in 2015 from £2.74billion in 2014. Digital sales dropped from £563million to £554million.
